The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) is a state-level examination conducted annually to certify the eligibility of candidates aspiring to become teachers at the Primary (Classes I–V) and Upper Primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels.
The test is divided into two papers:
PSTET Paper-I: For candidates who want to teach classes I to V.
PSTET Paper-II: For candidates who want to teach classes VI to VIII.
Candidates can apply for one or both papers depending on their qualifications.
The eligibility for PSTET 2024 is as per the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Different qualifications are required for Paper-I and Paper-II.
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Or, Senior Secondary with 45% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed under NCTE guidelines.
Or, Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Or, Graduation and passed/appearing in the final year of 2-year D.El.Ed.
Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of 2-year D.El.Ed.
Or, Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
Or, Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed as per NCTE rules.
Or, Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
๐ Note: There is no upper age limit for PSTET. However, candidates must fulfill educational eligibility at the time of certificate issuance.

Choose between Paper-I, Paper-II, or both as per your eligibility and preference.
Enter basic details such as:

After submission, a unique registration ID and password will be generated.
Log in with your credentials and fill in additional personal, academic, and contact details.
Upload scanned copies of:
Passport-sized photo (JPEG, 10–100 KB)
Signature (JPEG, 5–50 KB)
Pay the application fee through online modes – Net banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
