  1. Eligibility Criteria for CSIR UGC NET:

    • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

    • Age Limit:

      • For JRF (Junior Research Fellowship): Maximum age of 28 years as of June 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.

      • For Lectureship (Assistant Professor): No age limit.

    • Educational Qualifications:

      • Candidates must have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Science or related disciplines (like Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences) from a recognized university.

      • The candidate must have secured at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) in the Master’s degree.

      • Candidates who are in the final year of their Master’s program can also apply.

    • Relaxation:

      • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates get a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks.

Detailed Mode of Selection:

The selection process for the CSIR UGC NET is conducted in the following stages:

  1. Written Examination:

    • The examination will be conducted in three parts (A, B, and C).
