UPDELED (also called UP D.El.Ed / BTC):

is the state-level admission process for the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (formerly Basic Training Certificate – BTC) course in Uttar Pradesh. This course prepares candidates for elementary school teaching. Admissions are based on merit and a multiple-phase online counselling and seat allotment process conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Examination Regulatory Authority (Prayagraj). The official notification for admissions and counselling timeline is released for the academic year 2025-26, and the major counselling events spill into early 2026.

Educational Qualifications (Full Details)
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to participate in UP DELED Counselling 2026:
🔹 Academic Qualification
Candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree (BA / BSc / BCom or equivalent) from a recognized university
Minimum required marks:
General / OBC: 50%
SC / ST / PH: 45%
🔹 Additional Conditions
Graduation must be completed before counselling registration
Final-year appearing candidates are not eligible
Degree must be recognized by UGC / State Govt.
