Estimating, Costing & Valuation: Analysis of rates, items of work (earthwork, brick work, RCC work, shuttering, flooring, painting), valuation methods.
Surveying: Principles, chain surveying, prismatic compass, plane table surveying, leveling, contouring, tachometric survey.
Soil Mechanics: Origin, phase diagram, void ratio, Atterberg’s limits, grain size distribution, compaction, bearing capacity.
Hydraulics: Fluid properties, flow measurements, Bernoulli theorem, flow in pipes/open channels, pumps & turbines.
Irrigation Engineering: Necessity, hydrology, crop water requirement, canals, weirs, flood control.
